Now that we are getting older, we realize that being healthy requires some clear intention and effort.
Remember when you could get up and be active with very few side effects? As we age we are noticing that this is no longer the case. Our minds still believe we can but our bodies are letting us know the real truth. We are not as flexible or strong as we used to be.
Hi, this website is dedicated to those of us who wish to maintain an active, healthy life as we age.
I know for me personally, my mind believes I can do anything and everything I did as a younger person. I recently went water skiing, something I did when I was 30 years old. The memory was good but the left hamstring was so accommodating and pulled quite badly. A harsh reminder of how unfit for that activity I was.
So this website we have built is aimed at people 45 plus to maintain the sort of body and mind we need to stay healthy.
There are so many different products out there that claim to make us look great, but are they really healthy for us?
We will take a look at them and get experts to evaluate them to see what’s really going on.
Mental health and wellness have long been issues in our communities, but how do we protect ourselves from going down that path? I have lost 4 people (close friends and relatives) to the “Black Dog” Our aim is to be able to shed a light on things that might help someone from doing the same.
Life is a participation sport, getting involved, being active, and eating well is all part of being healthy.
By providing a balanced viewpoint on physical activity targeting those of us who are getting into the second half of our life, we hope you can take this information and participate in life to the fullest.
I’m Jack and with my wife Dianne we hope you enjoy the journey with us.
